24 hours in Santa Barbara
What I wore, SB favs, tips for sheer dressing, and celebrating with Dôen
Santa Barbara is one of my absolute favorite places in California. It’s also a hop, skip and a jump from LA, which makes for a great mini-escape. I was thrilled when Dôen invited me up for a little midweek celebration in honor of their fun collaboration with K.Jaques- launching today!
Every time I drive into Santa Barbara, I feel an immediate ease- something to do with SB’s casual, elegant energy. This was going to be a quick trip, so I skipped out of LA at 6 AM to work for the day before the evening commenced.
Oat Bakery is one of my favorite spots in SB, so I stopped there immediately upon arrival. I always get the Castelvetrano Olive Focaccia- it is one thing I daydream about often. I was craving a delicious coffee and had heard good things about Handlebar, so I stopped by to grab a lattè. To my surprise, it was even better than I thought it would be. So smooth and gooood espresso (you just know).
After working into the late afternoon, I checked into one of the most classic hotels in California, the renowned Rosewood Miramar. Situated right on the coast of Montecito. I highly recommend a visit to the property, even if it’s just for a drink or a special occasion dinner.
Daylight savings is doing us all a favor because I was able to stop by the pool to hang with some old and new friends before getting ready for dinner.
I wore this absolutely stunning yellow, lace moment (that I cannot wait to outfit repeat). It reminds me of the lace dresses my Nonna used to make for all of the girls in our family to wear on special occasions. Timeless and so beautifully detailed, especially with the delicate ruching. I love that you can wear it off the shoulder, too.
My DM’s were flooded today with: “What undergarments did you wear?”.
