Cafè Gabri: What I wore on my Bachelorette
Part one of my Bach recap! Details on all my outfits.
Last weekend, I celebrated my bachelorette party in Santa Barbara with some of my closest family and best friends. I’m still smiling thinking about all the love, laughter, and unforgettable moments we shared. I’ll be recapping everything we did in an upcoming Substack post, but before I dive into the full weekend itinerary, I wanted to share all the details on my looks.
Before we get into the outfits, I want to talk a little about the process of building my bachelorette wardrobe—how I approached it, what I prioritized, and the pieces that made me feel the most like me.
At first, I think I made it harder than it needed to be—I was searching high and low, here, there, and everywhere, hoping something would click. But once I took a step back and started referencing brands I had already saved (and actually wear and love), everything got a lot clearer. It became easier to narrow down what I was looking for and to spot pieces that felt more me.
I also knew I wanted to incorporate some vintage—something about having a one-of-a-kind piece just feels special, especially for a weekend like this. So the secondhand search was on. I spent time on all my usual vintage haunts, digging for those unique finds that would add texture and story to each look.
The vintage search, though? Not easy. You really have to be committed to the hunt. I spent weeks staying vigilant—both in person and online. In LA, I visited some of my favorite vintage gems: Tab, Happy Isles, and Aralda. Online, I kept a close eye on The RealReal, Vestiaire Collective, and 1stDibs, as well as beautifully curated resellers like Sara Nicole Vintage and Raffe Vintage.
For the bachelorette, I had a very specific wishlist. One of the biggest items on it? A vintage Chanel jacket. I’ve been searching for the one for years—and it finally felt like the right moment to bring one into my wardrobe for such a special occasion. It took a lot of saved searches and a little bit of luck, but I ended up finding the perfect one just days before the weekend.
Saved searches truly are your best friend—get as specific as possible, and be patient. The right piece has a way of finding you when you’re ready.
I’ll be sharing more about my bridal-look search (both in person and online), my favorite places for bridal, and all the tips I’ve gathered in a separate Substack soon. But for now, let’s get into the looks…
My Bachelorette Weekend Wardrobe
Here’s a breakdown of everything I wore during the most special weekend in Santa Barbara, from comfy travel sets to the dreamiest dinner looks.
Day 1: Travel Day
Zara is so good right now. I couldn’t believe the scores from my latest order. The set I wore for the drive felt like an embroidered heirloom—elevated yet easy, perfectly put together but still relaxed enough for a road trip. My friends couldn’t believe it was Zara!
Day 2:
Shopping in Montecito
I wore a very special Dôen dress, paired with the comfiest elevated flops and a Janessa Leone sweater (code: GAB15). My bag was from Hunting Season, one of my favorite understated-luxury accessories brands.
Relaxing at Home
I am absolutely obsessed with Madly Vintage. I met her years ago at Pickwick Vintage and we’ve kept in touch ever since. She invited me to her studio to preview some of her special bridal pieces, and I picked up this gorgeous skirt (here’s a similar one) with the sweetest details. I styled it with a favorite (old) Mare Perpetua bikini and my Jenni Kayne hat.
Dinner
I’ve loved Paloma Wool forever, and the minute I saw this skirt, I knew I had to have it. It was sold out everywhere, but after a quick Google image search (god-sent for a bride), I tracked it down via Baltini (which I was nervous about, but it ended up being perfect—fast shipping, too). It’s no longer available, but I found a similar one in a pretty blue-gray tone. I paired it with a Miaou cotton corset that’s ultra flattering, The Row satin heels, and my latest prized possession: a vintage Chanel jacket from The RealReal. It’s from the 2004 Cruise Collection, with cascading chiffon trim at the sleeves and collar—pure magic. I finished the look with a vintage Gucci satin bag (also from TRR).
Day 3:
Wine Tasting + Shopping in Santa Barbara
A last-minute favorite: this perfect fish-detail top from Mizawe. I wore it with my tried-and-true Dôen skirt (don’t sleep on rewearing what you love—just style it with something new to freshen it up!). I added my Teagan hat and the sweetest vintage Prada shell-and-pearl bag from Sara Nicole Vintage (she is an angel btw).
Aperitivo at Home
I got to borrow the dreamiest Missoni set, also from Sara Nicole—and wearing it transported me straight to Italia.
Dinner
This was the outfit for me. I recently ordered a stunning Chan Luu piece and knew I needed to wear it for something special—but didn’t yet have the right piece to style with it. While scrolling through saved posts, I remembered ABL Studio, a brand I discovered early in my engagement. I went to browse their latest collection and found a perfect one of a kind dress—made from vintage Italian linen, it felt like home. The founder personally got back to me to confirm measurements and ensure the dress arrived in time. It fit like a glove, with the most thoughtful details. I’ll 100% be rewearing it on my honeymoon.
While shopping in SB earlier that day, I found this insane choker by designer Robert Zentall, and it made the outfit. My sisters had been perusing my Substack before Christmas and gifted me the Hunting Season bag I’d been eyeing—it was the perfect finishing touch. None of the pieces were planned to go together, but when I put them on, the whole look came together effortlessly.
Also worth noting: I finally bought the perfect sunglasses that had been on my wishlist at Teller in Montecito—and wore them all weekend long.
I can’t wait to share all the bachelorette details with you soon—from our full itinerary to the welcome bags, branding, custom sweatshirts, and every thoughtful little touch that made the weekend feel so personal. Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it. So much more to come. Thank you so much for being here!
This Missoni set is everything!
Just found your page and I am OBSESSED with everything 🙌 Such good finds. Will you share links to the girls gift bags? I’m on the hunt for custom sweatshirts too.
