May I? Welcome back! Another month has come and gone (that one was a little too quick)! Very excited to share some new favorites + things that made their way back to the top of my list.
In a similar format to last month, we’re going through it all. Fav tunes, fav fashion, fav skincare, fav foods.. etc.
Listens: Taylor Swift in preparation for Eras! Here’s the playlist I had on repeat:
Also… I was on my first podcast!! Thank you to Plan B is a Sugar Daddy for inviting me on- I had a blast! and thank you all from the bottom of my heart who listened to the entire episode! Hope you loved it and learned a little more about me.
Fashion:
Been really honing in on good button downs the last month. They are so versatile and the perfect early summer addition any outfit. I wear it over dresses, tanks, swimwear, etc. Among my favs are: this Sezane button down (I think I have 4 of them now because I wear them so much) and this delicate striped and lightweight Donni shirt. I have been eying this men’s J.Crew one that allows you to add embroidery- found via my friend Justine Liu (included her affiliate link)! anddd.. thriftandtell totally influenced my lust for this embroidered Sessei shirt that is so chic.
I had been trying to hunt down these Onitsuka Tiger’s forever and I finally just called the LA store and they had one pair left! Score!! Obsessed with them..definitely will be my preferred summer sneaker. They’re sold out but I believe these are exact, shipping from Japan on Ebay. I am officially cutting myself off on sneaker purchases. I wear these amazing no-show Amazon socks that I have been loving with sneaks.
These [sweats] are always my favorite, but this month I wore them a ton and it reminded me how much I love them. Sweats that feel like butter and under $50- yes, you read that right. They pill a bit at the beginning but I promise they are amazing!
Since my early days of insta, I’ve always added basket bags to my summer looks. There’s something organic about it that I love with dressed up or casual outfits. I am fawning over this adorable Clare.V bag I just picked up. Here you can find my basket bag/ raffia bag round up (varying price points)!
I’ve tried many white tees in my day and every single time I try a new one, I always compare it to my #1 choice in tees, Michael Stars. If it ain’t broke… May was a reminder that I can never have enough because I truly wear them every day. I picked up some more of my favorite lightweight Michael Stars tee in white and black (longer version here), as well as this new style that is more cropped, but has that thicker, substantial fabric I enjoy from my original fav the Lexy tee.
I was very, very into Doen’s new summer collection! Sooo many good pieces. I went in store to check them out and hope to get something soon!

A new addition to my monthly favs will be my top sellers of the last month! Here are the top 5 sellers from May that you all loved:
This mango strapless dress - super pretty for summer!
Reformation Lucy skirt that I’m starting to wear a lot more! I need to get mine hemmed.
These skims boy-shorts I’m loving for sheer things as undergarments, but also they are just the best for lounging, they feel like nothing!
Aerie sweats - professed my love for them above..
Dragon Diffusion Etsy dupe - sooo many of you guys have got this and love it! Your photos of it are incredible. Quality is amazing.
I stopped into The Great’s shop on Melrose in LA and picked up some amazing summer staples. My favs are this gorgeous white dress, soft henley, cozy summer drop crotch shorts. I also loved their pointelle jammies. Here’s a little photo recap of my visit:

Beauty favs:
Starting off with my favorite hair product I’ve ever used. I know thats a big claim, but please trust me- especially if you get a lot of build up/ have thick hair. This Goop scalp scrub has quite literally changed my life. I have always had a hard time finding clarifying products that actually work. This one is the best I’ve tried and my hair has never felt more clean, shiny, voluminous, bouncy .. and it looks amazing when it air dries! Not trying to be an aggressive salesman here, but I truly love this product.
I’ve been loving this micellar water for the first step of my routine at night to make sure I get everything off! Have noticed a difference in how clean my skin feels. Also obsessed with these single use cloths for travel- they saved me on my trips this month!
I have used this French pharmacy fav A313 on and off since I picked it up on my France trip last summer. I truly notice a difference every time I start it up again. I’ve slowly integrated it back into my routine and I’m loving the glow. I know skincare products are not universal but this one realllyy helped with my forehead congestion I had for years when nothing else helped! It also just keeps everything so even, smooth, and combats breakouts/pimples for me! Warning.. can dry you out a bit so I’d start slow and make sure you have recovery days.
This Chanel transparent highlight stick is incredible. It gives the most gorgeous dewy glow - actually though!! I used to use the Sculpting shade, but decided I like this [new] one more at the moment. I’ve loved Chanel beauty products for so long and I’m super happy with this new find. They have some of the best product, so definitely stop by one of their counters soon.
I also started back up with my Rhode Glazing Peptide Fluid and this stuff is awesome. I love using it as my first step in the morning and its so great under makeup. Stay tuned for June favs because I have a feeling the new Rhode product will be on there..
Another not-new, but all time fav is my Iconic Nude lip liner. Especially if you have olive skin, this is the only one I find that is not too pink, red or brown! It’s just right.
FOOD:
I’ve been reuniting with my favorite latte in LA at Primo Passo in Santa Monica - I get the iced almond milk hazelnut latte (they make the hazelnut in house)!
Finally made it to Bavel DTLA! I had never been and it was such a delight. Soooo delish.
Here to tell you that Fleurs et sel has the best cookies in LA (maybe the world). She does these cookie drops and they are so fresh and perfect. As a cookie monster my whole life, I hope you listen to me and get these right away.
I made some of the best egg sandwiches for Jimmy and myself with my new favorite bread and instantly transported me to my mom’s kitchen. She taught me how to make the best egg sammies with just the right amount of fry (and butter).
Hatchet Hall - met up with a NYC friend over corn bread and tinis. Always a pleasure at the local HH. Def put it on your list if you haven’t been!
I was having a bad day and went to my fav Pho spot in LA.. instantly cures every time.
I think I pay a visit to Cobi’s monthly because I crave it so intensely! Same with Night + Market. Both staples in this house.
Being home in Chicago means Andy’s Frozen Custard + Dairy Queen every night. It’s like a summer ritual that I miss out on in LA.. hits diff.

That’s a wrap on MAY! Hoping you all had an amazing month and looking forward to a wonderful June! I have some more travel (chronic bachelorette-goer) coming up in June + excited for LA summer weather to maybe finally arrive! Can’t complain too much though, I know how great it is to be here. Stay well + look forward to something!
I love this Gabs! ❤️
