We’ve crossed off many of the big ticket items so far, and I feel like I can sleep again. We’ve selected our venue, photographer, designer for the invitation suite, my dress (!!!). We’re just starting to get into more of the details and I can’t wait until it all comes to life. The more we decide on, the more the day is feeling like us, which was the goal from day one.

I can’t believe we made it through the initial planning phase, when I was feeling so overwhelmed. I won’t promise you that the stress ever goes away (I’m looking at me here), but it is definitely less heavy than not knowing which way is up. There’s so many factors that go into picking this very special place, as it holds so much meaning.

As I’ve been thinking about our very own day, I’ve started making a list of wedding things I love! You can read part one of this series here. Every wedding is beautiful, unique and most importantly, yours, so this is not meant to be an in/out list. You might not see each of these during my weekend, but here are some things I’ve been dreaming on as we continue on with our planning.

Staying in your main dress/gown - No outfit change out of your wedding gown is baller. Slipping into something a little more comfortable, especially if your dress is not-so, makes total sense. And having a second look is fun! I love both. But, I really don’t think less of staying in your main dress, in fact, I think it’s very cool. Why not?
