What I wore + ate this weekend
My go-to stops when a visitor is in town, and what I wore along the way!
Lately, I’ve been really trying to make an effort with items already in my closet and give them a chance. I haven’t been super excited to get dressed, but I know it’s just a matter of playing around with the styling a bit more. I had a friend in town for a quick trip, and we were casual and comfortable for the most part.
Before my friend came into town for the quickest trip ever (I think it was 36 hours), I ran some errands and threw on this outfit:

For dinner Friday night, I wore the above outfit with a blazer on top and ballet flats to Cobi’s.. for arguably one of the best meals in this city (the Kanpachi and Butter Chicken are musts). Saturday morning, we had an exciting jewelry appointment at Starling and sushi lunch to follow, so I wanted to be comfortable because we were driving all over town. I’m so glad I got these jeans before they sold out in the spring, but sign up for restock notifications. It was my first time styling my new Dorsey necklace! I went with the 16” Princess Cut Dorsey Necklace. It is made of lab grown sapphires and sterling silver. While mine was gifted, I really appreciate the price point of these for how gorgeous they look. I’m not in the market for a fully decked tennis necklace just yet, so I love that they are offering very diamond-like alternatives with these lower price points. Happy to answer any questions on this! I also posted a little TikTok with some close ups. We did sushi at Izakaya by Katsu-Ya in Manhattan Beach, one of my all times.. so all of my visitors always request to go every time they come in!

We got back and decided to do a little walking + shopping, so of course we hit the Platform (one of my fav places to shop in LA). My friend loved the shops and she ended up getting a couple things. We went for optimal comfort here, so I threw my Nili Lotan sweats on with my new fav v-neck, sambas, and Khaite bag. I kept the Dorsey necklace on and it really elevated the very relaxed look, which I loved! I am obsessed with this dark/ washed black look. We also stopped by The Ripped Bodice, as my friend is a spicy books aficionado… wrapped up with a very overpriced Erewhon visit (she had to get some merch to take back home).
For the last night, we did dinner at one of my fav restaurants, Marvin, and then cocktails at Sunset Tower - and yes, it was the perfect evening. I don’t have any rhyme or reason for the way this outfit came together, all I knew is I wanted to dress up this sweater (code: Gabriella15) with a vintage gold heel, courtesy of my fabulous YiaYia’s closet. I switched the pants a couple times, but landed on these Donni linen pants (sadly sold out). I feel like a few of these things are sold out, so I am sorry! I am always posting similar silhouettes and finds to my Weekly Finds edit that I edit, well, weekly!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as I did! I’m headed to NY for a wedding later this week, and don’t have a dress yet! Nothing like the last minute, but that’s why we have Shopbop. I hearted some of the dresses I have on the way! Here:
Excited for the change of scenery! Talk soon.
Loved this! Truly obsessed with the necklace!! Do you (or anyone reading this) have some fall bag advice? I am hoping to make my first designer bag purchase (!) and am feeling a bit indecisive. Currently looking at the Khaite elena, Khaite medium olivia hobo, The Row everyday shoulder bag, and the Celine ava - all in black. I want something that feels timeless enough to not feel dated any time soon, and large enough to fit daily things without being bulky or tote-like. Currently leaning towards the Khaite elena but would adore any and all thoughts <3
